Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know organic chemistry at the bachelor's degree in Chemistry. 2. Have skills in writing organic reactions. 3. Have an idea of stereochemistryat the bachelor's degree in Chemistry. 4. Have the skills to write the mechanisms of organic reactions at the bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
Course content
Methods of organic synthesis that allow the transformation of functional groups and the construction of CC bonds, the mechanisms of reactions used, their stereochemical features. Methods of organic synthesis in terms of solving its strategic tasks (choosing the optimal scheme for the synthesis of complex organic compounds), as well as tactical tasks (choice of reagents and conditions for a particular stage of synthesis). Isohypsic and non-isogypsic transformations of functional groups, chemical properties of carbanions and organometallic compounds, reactions of carbonyl compounds, pericyclic reactions, methods of formation of carbocyclic systems.
