Learning outcomes
Apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to solve new qualitative and quantitative problems of chemistry.
Be able to clearly and unambiguously convey the results of one's own research to a professional audience and/or non-specialists.
Collect, evaluate, and analyze the data needed to solve complex chemistry problems using appropriate data processing methods and tools.
Plan and organize experimental research in chemistry using modern equipment, competently process research results and draw reasonable conclusions.
Interpret experimentally obtained data and correlate them with relevant theories in chemistry.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basic provisions of the theory of chromatographic analysis
2. Know the peculiarities of solvent preparation
3. To know the empirical and calculated parameters in matters of sample preparation
4. To be able to perform analysis on a high-pressure liquid chromatograph
5. Know how to carry out identification and quantitative analysis based on the results of chromatographic separation
6. To have basic approaches to the analysis of specific samples (pharmaceutical objects, food products, environmental objects, etc.)
7. To know the methods of introducing liquid samples and optimization parameters when developing analysis methods
Course content
Familiarization with the theory and practice of high performance liquid chromatography. The main modes of chromatography: normal-phase and reversed-phase. General approaches when choosing a method of chromatographic analysis of specific samples for the content of target and non-target components (pharmaceutical objects, food products, environmental objects, etc.).
