Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students should:
• Know: features of the development of psychology as a science in the historical context; general principles of functioning of the personality psyche; main categories of general psychology;
• Have an idea of the essence of the work of a practical psychologist.
• Be able to: analyze and identify the essence of the main approaches to understanding the psyche of the individual in psychology; be able to use basic concepts related to personal and professional training of a psychologist.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline - to form in students a system of knowledge about the problems and contradictions of psychological knowledge of modern psychology; consider the semantic and formal characteristics of the methodology of psychology; to systematize knowledge of basic categories, principles of psychology, scientific activity, personal and professional training of a psychologist. The course provides students with knowledge of the methodological principles, problems and contradictions of psychological knowledge and modern psychology; systematizes the idea of the basic principles, categories of psychology and methodological principles of psychological knowledge, presented in different psychological schools, concepts; provides knowledge about the peculiarities of the formation of professional, methodological, practical literacy of a psychologist.
