Course content
The course focuses on the possibilities of modern neuroscience, which contribute to a deeper understanding of the essence of art, its place and role in the process of human microevolution. Consideration of neuroaesthetic issues takes place in different planes. First, the focus may be on a work of art with its specific characteristics; secondly, the emphasis can be placed on the person who acts as a recipient (viewer, reader, listener), with complex cognitive and emotional processes that correspond to the act of aesthetic perception. Finally, neuroscience sheds light on what is happening in the brain of the creator: how the creative process is built, how to influence it, what specific neural networks "serve" creativity, insight, authorship, honesty and more.
