Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the main content of the courses "General Psychology", "CNS Physiology", "Neuropsychology" at the level of a student who has completed a bachelor's degree at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
2. To be able to describe the basic physiological processes associated with the functioning of the nervous system. Know the principles of structure and function of the human brain.
3. To possess the skills of scientific research, search and analysis of information from various sources, use of information, and communication technologies.
Course content
The discipline studies the organization, functions and electrical characteristics of the brain based on the application of modern neurobiological, neurophysiological, physical, mathematical methods and computer technologies. The course examines the physiological, cognitive, emotional and behavioral components of the pathogenesis of mental and behavioral disorders. The organization and functioning of the main distributed neural networks of the brain is considered.

The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam.
The student's success is evaluated by calculating the semester evaluation points (maximum score - 60 points) and the exam scores (maximum score - 40 points). The maximum number of points is 100 points. If a student scored less than the critical-calculation minimum in the semester evaluation, he is given additional creative tasks, the number of which depends on the number of points that are not enough to reach the critical-calculation minimum - 36 points.
The minimum threshold level of the exam grade, at which the exam is considered passed, cannot be less than 24 points.
