Prerequisites and co-requisites
know: - main theoretical and methodological problems of research of psychosomatic disorders; - basic medical concepts related to diseases; - the concept of diagnosis, psychological factors in the occurrence and course of the disease, classification of methods of psychodiagnostics; - the main features of the mental state of the sick person; - psychology of the personality of a person suffering from psychosomatic illness; - basics of rehabilitation, psychotherapy and counseling. be able: - to conduct a psychological examination taking into account the patient's personality, nosological and age specifics; - to create the necessary psychological contact during the study; - choose adequate methods of planning, organization and analysis of survey results; - use basic methods of psychological assistance to sick people; - to carry out psychoprophylaxis, taking into account individual psychological characteristics of the individual.
Course content
The purpose of studying the discipline "Fundamentals of Psychosomatics" is to acquaint psychological students with pathological manifestations that occur in the clinic of psychosomatic diseases. In his daily practice, a psychologist must be well versed in the symptoms of psychosomatic diseases, diagnose and use the necessary methods of psychological care. The main objectives of the discipline are: expanding students' knowledge in the field of psychosomatic disorders. Psychosomatics as a science emerged on the border of psychology, neurology, psychiatry and medicine of internal medicine, but at the present stage of its development it expands its boundaries through rapprochement with anthropology, behavioral medicine, sociology. Psychosomatics influences the development of theory and practice of psychiatry, neurology, internal medicine and other medical disciplines. At the same time, its study is impossible without medical knowledge and psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Final evaluation in the form of a test. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student is 40 points on a 100-point scale. Conditions of admission to the test. A student is not admitted to the test if he / she scored less than 36 points during the semester. The student is admitted to the test provided that 50% of the planned practical work is completed. Organization of assessment: after topic 1 is a modular test 1; after topic 3 students prepare presentations; after topic 5 modular test work 2 is carried out and a case is prepared.
