Learning outcomes
LO3. To search information from different sources for solving professional tasks including using information and communication technologies. LO4. To elaborate one's professional position, to make independent conclusions based on the results of own research and analysis of publications. LO5. To select and use: valid and reliable psychological research and assessment methods (tests, questionnaires, projective techniques etc.); techniques of psychological help. LO6. To define the research purpose and the tasks, to have skills of collecting empirical data, to follow the research norms. LO7. To consider and critically evaluate the reliability of the results of the psychological research, make valid conclusions. LO8. To present results of own research orally / in writing for the professionals and nonprofessionals.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the theoretical foundations of general and social psychology, psychodiagnostics. To be able to systematize scientific sources, to work with diagnostic tools. To use basic methods of quantitative research.
Course content
This discipline is aimed at forming a holistic view of quality methods of psychological research, mastering theoretical knowledge of methodology and procedural features of qualitative methods; preparation for practical application of this toolkit in professional activities. This course covers the planning and organization of personal interviews, guide operating. The peculiarities of the procedure of in-depth interviews and methods of improving the effectiveness of the survey are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to the specifics of ethnographic interviews. The advantages and disadvantages of online interviews are discussed. The psychological characteristics of focus group participants and their influence on the moderation process are analyzed; attention is paid to creative expert groups, brainstorming, delphi groups, features of sampling, rules of report‘s preparation and presentation of the results.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral answers (participation in discussions and debates, additions), analytical report, creative independent work. The form of final control is an exam. Form of conducting - written. Types of tasks - open questions, creative tasks; The minimal threshold level of the examination mark for which the examination is considered passed may not be less than 24 points. A student is not allowed to pass the exam having scored less than 36 points. He is admitted to the exam having performed 50% of practical works. Evaluation is carried out during the semester of all types of work. Additions and active participation in lectures are evaluated; at the seminar the executed project of independently carried out qualitative research is presented. The maximum number of points is 60. Excellent: 90-100 Good: 75-89 Satisfactory: 60-74 Unsatisfactory: 0-59
