Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: the history of the formation of the system of social services and social security in the practice of Western Europe and the United States; the specifics of coordination of forms and methods of social work with different categories of clients in foreign experience; the specifics of the system of training social workers in foreign experience. To be able to: analyse various forms and methods of social work from foreign experience and adapt relevant to domestic conditions; apply the knowledge, gained during the course, for practical work and research; to establish appropriate relations with representatives of foreign state and international public organizations and institutions that are subjects of social policy, which engaged in the process of forming directions in the field of social work; identify and evaluate current problems of social work at the international level and contribute to their solution.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to present a systematic and consistent overview of modern forms and methods of Social Work used in Western Europe and the United States; to present effective models of the organization of Social Work in the experience of this countries; to acquaint with relevant technologies of social work with different categories of clients.

Assessment methods and criteria
Verbal answers, practical tasks, presentations, reports, essay, project The maximum number of points per semester is 80 points. The form of the test is verbal in accordance with the submitted projects, presentations, reports. The minimum number of points for sitting the examination is 36 points. The number of points scored throughout semester is announcing in advance.
