Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must know: the basic theories in the field of social pedagogy. The student must be able to: analyze the basic concepts of social pedagogy and modern legal framework, apply and use theoretical knowledge in practical professional activities. The student must have basic skills: professional communication, planning and monitoring the evaluation of performance in the field of social work.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with a holistic understanding of current issues of social pedagogy, paradigms, concepts, patterns, principles, principles, mechanisms of socio-pedagogical activities in Ukraine and other countries, to acquaint students with modern practices of social pedagogy. The first module defines the subject field of modern pedagogy, highlights current issues of socio-pedagogical theory and practice in accordance with the challenges of the time, explores the Ukrainian and international experience. The second module reveals the features of the development of social pedagogy in today's conditions, analyzes modern research on the theory and practice of social pedagogy, identifies the mechanisms of activity with different social groups.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, Individual work. Test, discussion, practical (individual and group) tasks, modular test.
Assessment methods and criteria
Creative and reproductive tasks - 20 points. Work and seminars - 20 points. Modular test - 20 points. Credit - 40 points. The test is passed based on the results of the student's work during the semester. To pass the test it is obligatory to complete modular tests and obtain a total of at least 60 scores. Grading scheme: Passed (60-100 scores) Fail (0-59 scores)
