Successful completion of the course is possible with knowledge of general psychology, personality psychology, age Psychology, Psychotherapy, social work, and pedagogical education.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline students should master knowledge about the essence, varieties and criteria of the effectiveness of scientific work, as well as about the principles, methods and technologies of social and pedagogical research. Abstract of the academic discipline: the article describes the basic principles and a set of research methods that ensure the assimilation of modern theoretical scientific knowledge by future social teachers on the methodology of conducting social and pedagogical research, in the context of such main issues: 1) the formation of social teachers ' knowledge, skills and abilities of conducting scientific research. Seminars-discussions, debates, training sessions will be held to update theoretical knowledge; 2) development of extraordinary thinking, creative abilities in the process of practical implementation of social and pedagogical research; 3) acquisition of practical skills in organizing and conducting social and pedagogical research.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course has 2 content parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures, seminars, training is provided when conducting practical classes, the discipline ends with a test. During the semester, after completing the relevant topics, thematic written control works with open questions are conducted. For students who have not reached the minimum milestone level of assessment (60% of the maximum possible number of points) during the semester, the final semester control work is conducted, the maximum score for which can not exceed 40% of the final assessment (up to 40 points on a 100 – point scale). The condition for obtaining a positive final assessment in the discipline is to achieve at least 60% of the maximum possible number of points.
