Learning outcomes include such knowledge, skills and abilities as:
- to acquire the knowledge of scientific and theoretical provisions, the current legislation in the field of nuclear energy,
- to be able to apply the acquired knowledge in practical, scientific and pedagogical as well as in other activities of future lawyers.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) to know the categorical apparatus and have the competencies acquired in the process of studying environmental, administrative, economic, criminal, constitutional law, in particular: the subject and method of the legal regulation, the relationship of principles, methods of legal regulation, powers of public authorities, etc.; provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, basic international acts, provisions of Codes and basic laws of Ukraine and other normative legal acts.
2) to have the skills of perception, analysis and application of theoretical knowledge of the legal regulation of relations in the field of environmental safety, the use of natural resources and environmental protection.
Course content
The discipline is aimed at mastering scientific provisions, the current legislation in the field of nuclear energy, acquiring skills for its application in practical, scientific and pedagogical as well as other activities of future lawyers. This discipline is aimed at studying the legal regulation of nuclear energy and radiation safety, the activities of specially authorized bodies of the government and the regulation of the radiation safety in Ukraine and their functions regarding the regulation of these relations, fundamental rights and responsibilities of entities while carrying out activities in the certain area, the legal liability for violations of legislation in the field of nuclear energy.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures are based on the analysis of the legal relationship in the field of the nuclear energy use and radioecological safety, Ukrainian legislation in the field of the radioecological safety; the concept of citizens' right to the radioecological safety; the right of citizens to the radioecological safety in the system of ecological rights of citizens.
At the seminars students participate in the discussion of the following issues: objective prerequisites for the formation of nuclear law in Ukraine; the subject, objects and methods of nuclear law of Ukraine; principles and functions of nuclear law of Ukraine; the relationship of Ukraine's nuclear law with other branches of law; the legal status of legal entities and individuals engaged in the use of the nuclear energy and radioecological safety: the rights and obligations of the applicant who submits documents to the state regulatory body of the nuclear and radiation safety for the right to carry out certain activities.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods and criteria are selected by the teacher who conducts the seminar, within the number of points provided by the curriculum, namely: for express questioning from 3 to 6 points; a colloquium from 2 to 5 points; reports and / or scientific papers from 5 to 8 points; testing (from the set of statements to choose the right ones) from 6 to 9 points; two modal tests from 4 to 6 points for each (total: from 8 to 12 points).
The maximum score that a student can get at the end of the semester is 40 points. The minimum score that a student can get for the appropriate forms of the assessment is 24 points.
According to the results of the final form of control (a credit), a student can get a maximum of 60 points.
The maximum score for this discipline can be 100 points.
