Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes include such skills and abilities as:
to know and critically comprehend: the subject, methods, functions, principles, system, sources of environmental law and its features as a complex branch of law; the system of environmental rights, guarantees of their implementation and methods of protection; features and principles of property rights and nature rights, features of the legal regime of the use, protection and reproduction of natural resources, natural objects and complexes;
to be able to: solve problems, namely: to determine the legal relationship that has arisen, to explicitly resolve the case indicating specific articles of law to confirm the legal position and substantiate the conclusions; collect, process, analyze information on legal issues of environmental law and conduct research, prepare scientific texts and reports, make their public presentation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites for mastering the discipline are:
knowledge of jurisprudence, successful mastering of the "Theory of Law" discipline in terms of understanding the basic legal concepts and categories;
the basic knowledge of certain law branches: constitutional, administrative, commercial, civil and others;
mastering the skills of perception and analysis of the law sources provisions.
Course content
The discipline is aimed at studying: features of environmental law as a complex branch of law, science and discipline; the subject, methods, functions, principles, system of environmental law, sources of environmental law and the content of domestic and major acts of international law governing environmental relations; systems of environmental rights of citizens and guarantees of their implementation and protection; features of the right of ownership of natural resources and the right of environmental management; legal bases of ecological management; the economic and legal mechanism in the field of ecology; features and types of legal liability in the field of ecology as a means of environmental law implementation; features of legal regimes of use, protection and in certain cases reproduction of natural resources, natural objects and complexes; features of legal relations in the field of environmental safety.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Considering the content of educational material and learning objectives, the following traditional and innovative learning technologies are used in the process of teaching the discipline:
- lectures on the study of scientifically grounded and systematic material on the legal regulation of relations in the field of natural resources, environmental protection and environmental safety;
- seminars at which a detailed analysis of the theoretical provisions of the discipline is carried out (by preparing theoretical questions and discussions) and practical skills are formed (by solving practical problems (cases), using the case method or the method of analysis of specific situations, court hearings modeling, etc.).
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods and criteria are chosen by the teacher who conducts seminars, within the number of points provided by the cirriculum.
The semester assessment includes: express questioning – from 2 to 3 points; the written solution of problems – from 2 to 3 points; testing – from 3 to 5 points; a report – from 3 to 4 points; a supplement to the report – from 2 to 4 points; a paper from 4 to 5 points; a modal test from 2 to 4 points x 4 (maximum from 8 to 16 points). The minimum score to be obtained by a student in the appropriate forms of the assessment is 24 points per semester, and the maximum number of points – 40 points. The maximum final score can be 100 points. If a student has scored less than 24 points during the semester, the teacher may allow the student to pass the credit (exam). Students who have missed classes for good reasons can work them off for admission points, but up to 24 points.
