Students' achievement of such competencies, skills and abilities as: to analyze social processes in the context of the analyzed problem and to demonstrate their own vision of ways to solve it; give a brief opinion on certain factual circumstances (data) with sufficient justification; provide advice on possible ways to protect the rights and interests of clients in various legal situations.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the legal nature of private law, the relationship between private and public law, the main stages of development of the Roman state, Roman private law. 2. Be able to assess and determine the role of Roman private law, distinguish between the institutions of Roman private law, determine the essence of individual legal structures and their change at a certain socio-economic stage of society, determine the impact of Roman private law on modern civil models and relations. 3. To have basic skills in analyzing the circumstances of the proposed cases, to determine the legal relationship that has developed, the sources of their regulation, and ways to resolve them.
Course content
Forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at studying the basic principles, doctrinal principles, legal sources, individual concepts, terms, definitions, definitions, legal categories and institutions of the Roman state and law, features of the phenomenon of reception of Roman law and legal regulation of public and private law. relations and basic constructions of private law, which retain their scientific and practical significance in the analysis and development of modern legal understanding. Lectures, seminars, self-studying work of the student on the basis of textbooks, abstracts, methodical recommendations, consultations with the teacher
Assessment methods and criteria
At seminars current control of students' knowledge of the discipline includes: performance of creative analytical work - from 6 to 10 points; express examination - from 3 to 5 points; case resolution - from 5 to 7; presentation - from 5 to 10; discourse - from 5 to 8. The following are subject to assessment: the level of knowledge demonstrated in the response; activity in discussing issues; systematic work in the classroom; results of tasks. Missing for good reason seminar classes a student can work in extracurricular time (time of teacher consultations) through oral interviews, testing, preparation of scientific reports. A student who has not reached the minimum threshold level of assessment (24 points) of those learning outcomes that cannot be assessed during the final control may be excluded from the final assessment. The final assessment of the student's knowledge takes place during the written test (maximum score - 60).
