Learning outcomes
Students have an idea how to define concepts and general characteristics of investment activities, concepts and legal status of investment activities subjects, their classification. To distinguish investment activities objects, their essence and specifics, to understand land plots place as investment objects. They will know the essence of the categories «asset», «decisive influence», «control» and understand the ways of land actives acquisition deal structuring as well as understand the requirements for legal inspection of land before acquisition. They will be able to characterize indications and expression of investment agreements in land sphere as well as to express own assessment of the correctness, expediency, actions legality of investment activity subjects through the prism of current legislation provisions. They will also have legal technique skills in investment agreements drafting.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students have to preliminary know land law foundations, in particular, in land law sources, land categories according to the intended purpose, their composition, legal regime, legal titles to land, procedure of land plot privatization, considerations of land plots sales or land rights sales on a competitive basis, the system and authorities power, managing in the field of protection and land use, management functions in protection and land use, in particular land use planning. be able to navigate the hierarchy of normative acts, to distinguish between the competence of management and control bodies in the field of protection and land use, to characterize the legal regime of land categories according to the intended purpose. have elementary skills in analyzing, assessing and resolving legal situations arising from land relations.
Course content
Students' obtaining of knowledge on investment, composition context and essence of an investment project, understanding of principles of investment appraisal, the ability to draw up the texts of agreements to carry out investment activities in the projects related to real estate; formation of practical skills in legal audit of land assets and other real estate assets, analytical skills to assess legal situations and disputes arising in the field of investment activity.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
It is planned to combine lecture material with practical classes. Lecture material is given in the form of presentations on relevant topics and lecturer’s oral comments on theoretical issues and practical application of relevant legislation. In practical classes students solve individual cases related to the topic of a particular lecture, fill out the main forms of approval documents in investment activity field, settle contracts and appraise correctness of the corresponding forms prepared by the teacher.
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of continuous assessment are selected by the instructor who conducts practical classes in accordance with the training program. The instructor, who conducts practical classes, sets the number of grades scored from the continuous assessment and enters them in the relevant documents of student performance. If a student is absent from a practical lesson for good reasons, he/she may make up the missed class in extra-curricular classes within 7 days after the missed class during the teacher's consultation hours. Academic detention is carried out by oral examination or by performing another type of task set by the instructor. Grades are not awarded for missed classes. At the end of the semester, student’s missed classes are not made up.
