Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: theoretical principles of social pedagogy (basics of group interaction); main trends in the development of the social sphere in Ukraine, knowledge of the concepts of the theory of change.
Be able to: perform a basic analysis of the social situation and problems. Possess: basic skills of application in practical situations of knowledge in the subject area and understanding of professional activity.
Course content
The aim is to develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of social design in socio-pedagogical activities. The first module acquaints with the structure and objectives of the course, forms a basic idea of the essence and content of social design as a technology for solving social problems; reveals the content and specifics of social design. The second module examines the tools, stages, and components of social design development to solve specific social problems.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, individual practical developments, practical classes, meetings with experts in social design, excursion, group and individual work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: survey, elaboration of normative-legal documents, elaboration of primary sources, presentation, discussion, elaboration of cases, modular and final control work, credit.
Final evaluation: test.
The grade is formed as the sum of all points earned during the semester
The minimum number of points for admission to the test - 36 points.
Number of points per semester - 36-60; the number of points for the test – 40.
Correspondence scale:
Passed - 60-100
Not credited / Fail - 0-59
