Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the theoretical foundations of general psychology, personality psychology and developmental psychology, on which the system of corrective action in each case is based.
2. To be able to select and correctly apply psycho-diagnostic tools, conduct a counseling conversation.
3. To know the basics of psychodiagnostics of children and adolescents, basic methods of psychocorrectional work of a psychologist.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with a holistic understanding, knowledge, and skills of the technology of a counseling psychologist's work with children, adolescents, and families, to promote the formation of a professional outlook and competence, and to form the initial experience and professional position of a counseling psychologist in working with children, adolescents, and their parents.
Students study the peculiarities of conducting psychological diagnostics of a child and child-parent relationships, writing a psychological report based on its results, and learn to plan further work with children. Particular attention is paid to the development of skills and algorithms for a psychologist to work with modern art materials (pictures, drawing techniques, toys, fairy tales, sand, clay, etc.). The program of the workshop is structured in such a way that each workshop includes theoretical parts and practical forms of work (case analysis, work in mini-groups, practice of practical skills).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral responses (participation in discussions, work in mini-groups during classroom sessions): 40/24 points
Completion of the task for individual work (conducting psychological diagnostics and writing a conclusion on its results): 20/12 points
Preparation and presentation of the project (development of a program of work with a child/adolescent): 20/24 points.

The final assessment is conducted in the form of credit.
The credit is given based on the results of the student's work during the semester (the maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100).
Students who, for valid reasons (illness, family circumstances, etc.), score a total of less than 60 points during the semester, but more than the critical-calculated minimum of -40 points, pass the test. The test is conducted in the form of an oral survey on the subject of the course and a creative individual task, which are evaluated at 20 points.
