Search for information and data needed to solve complex problems of physics, using various sources, including scientific publications, scientific databases, etc., evaluate and critically analyze the information and data. Apply theories, principles and methods of physics to solve complex interdisciplinary scientific and applied problems. Develop and apply efficient algorithms and specialized software to study models of physical objects and processes, process the results of experiments and observations. Be able to determine the method of calculation needed to solve a specific scientific problem in the field of nanosystems physics.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the legal documents governing the activities of the scientific institution in which the work is performed; safety rules, the procedure for performing scientific tasks; select, systematize, process and use modern scientific literature on nanosystems physics.
Course content
The master's qualification work is the final stage of training of the applicant of higher education of the second (master's) level. The master's qualification work is performed in order to generalize and systematize the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of nanosystems physics and is a completed development that reflects the integral competence of the author. The qualification work presents the results of experimental and theoretical research conducted using the provisions and methods of physics, aimed at solving a specific scientific problem in the field of nanosystems physics.

Execution of master's qualification work - 180 hours
Assessment methods and criteria
The results of the master's qualification work are summed up in the form of public defense of the work before the examination commission (EC), approved by the Rector. The object of evaluation of the examination commission is a set of knowledge, skills and abilities, acquired competencies, reproduced in the process of implementation and defense of qualification work. The decision on the final evaluation is made by a majority vote of the EC members based on the results of public defense, taking into account the conclusions of the supervisor and reviewer. The results of the defense are approved by the minutes of the EC meeting. In case of a positive evaluation of the work, the decision of the commission assigns the appropriate qualification.
