Learning outcomes
Understand the interdisciplinary links and contexts of the specialty - Be able to formulate and solve problems in the field of metrology related to procedures for observation of objects, measurement, control, diagnosis and forecasting, taking into account the importance of social constraints (society, health and safety , environmental protection, economics, industry, etc.) Analyze and evaluate the impact of information and measurement technology and metrological activities on the environment and safety of human life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students should know the basic stages of development of ethical thought; basic ethical and philosophical concepts and categories, characteristics of the main provisions of ethical systems and their corresponding value and regulatory programs; basic methods of philosophical and ethical research, methods of psychology in the analytical consideration of dilemmas. Be able to apply the basic methodology of imperative and value aspects of professional practice directly to the dilemmas of professional and corporate ethics; predict and anticipate possible negative consequences. Possess basic research skills and integrated research information; information management and the use of foreign language professional information sources, namely, to obtain and analyze information from various sources that would meet the requirements and needs of anticipation of dilemma processes in the modern socio-cultural space, cultural and professional sphere.
Course content
The discipline "Professional and Corporate Ethics" belongs to the list of disciplines of university choice and is taught in the second semester of master's degree. The discipline consistently considers the features of the development and formation of professional and corporate ethics and their need for modern professional practices. The subject, tasks, theoretical bases, methodologies, the basic directions of professional ethics are defined. The peculiarities of using in-depth knowledge of legal and ethical norms in assessing the consequences of their activities, developing and developing practical skills and decision-making skills on ethical behavior of professionals in dilemmas of professional activity, as well as familiarity with codes of professional ethics.

Teaching methods: lectures, self-study, written test, tests, independent research, project work, discussions.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of semester work: 1. Supplements and participation in discussions: 21/43 points 2. Independent work (essay-study of professional / corporate values): 5/12 points 3. Independent work (analysis of a dilemma professional situation (case)): 19/25 points In case of absence from the seminar, the student must complete the assignments for the seminar in writing. Final test in writing: 12/20 points.
