Learning outcomes
The purpose of the discipline "The use of nuclear technology in medicine" is to provide students with: - necessary theoretical information on the use of microprocessors and chips of programmable logic in nuclear-physical experiment; - practical skills in working with automated devices of nuclear electronics and programming of microcontrollers (during laboratory work); - ability to research and design microcontroller devices for the tasks of a nuclear physical experiment.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
- Successful learning of the basic physics courses: "Mechanics", "Molecular physics", "Electricity", "Optics". - Be able to solve problems in the main physics courses. - Have elementary skills of working on a computer to search for information on the Internet. - The student must know the basics of analogue and digital spectrometric paths. - Understand the principles of operation of logical elements and functional devices of computing technology; - Know the structure and operating principles of integrated microprocessors; - To understand the functional features and structure of nuclear physics interfaces of measuring systems.
Course content
The course "Application of Nuclear Technology in Medicine" will significantly improve the professional training of the students of the Department of Nuclear Physics, which is due to the fact that the students will: - be aware of the principles of digital signal processing and the use of digital signal processors in nuclear imaging spectrometers, including those based on PLM. - be able to carry out theoretical analysis and optimisation of spectrometric circuits; - To inspect practically the functioning of analogue and digital spectrometers; - Perform modelling of digital devices.
