Learning outcomes
Know the main theoretical methods of atomic nuclei research.
Know the basic models of the atomic nucleus.
Know the methods of nuclear reaction research.
Be able to solve applied problems of subatomic physics.
Be able to calculate the characteristics of nuclear reactions.
Be able to use periodical scientific literature and use automatic means of searching for information in existing scientific databases.
Ability to be an active participant in discussions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the laws of classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, quantum electrodynamics, quantum field theory, and special relativity.
2. To be able to solve problems in quantum mechanics and nuclear physics.
3. To have the skills of solving problems of mathematical physics and mathematical analysis, the basics of programming and numerical modeling.

Module 1 Physics of the atomic nucleus
1 Modern nuclear models
2 The concept of the theory of nuclear reactions
Module 2 Physics of elementary particles
3 Subject and research methods of subnuclear physics
4 Weak interaction and its manifestations
5 Standard model of the electroweak interaction
6 Experimental verification of the standard model and "new physics"
