Course content
"Scientific seminar by specialty" is an integral part of the cycle of fundamental and professionally oriented disciplines of training specialists for the "master's" educational degree of the "Medical Physics" educational program. The discipline completes the cycle of specialist training and aims to acquire practical skills in conducting scientific research and presenting it to a wide audience. The purpose of studying the discipline is to provide students with a general idea of medical physics through a system of knowledge similar to the topics of master's scientific research, to form views on the methodology of modern scientific and practical research, to professionally apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during training in professional activities, to prepare for a comprehensive exam in physics for masters The educational task of the course consists in mastering the essence of scientific research in the field of medical physics and the ability to correctly formulate the object, subject and task of scientific research; correctly analyze the data of the master's scientific research; to teach students to delve into a specific scientific topic, to present it to the audience, to be able to defend the acquisition of knowledge and answer questions. The learning outcomes consist in the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in presenting the results of scientific research and physics questions that are submitted to the comprehensive exam in the specialty "104 Physics and Astronomy".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Seminars - 60 hours. Independent work - 120 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria
- semester assessment:
Surveys during classes, preparation of reports on the physics of nanosystems - 60 points / 36 points
- final assessment in the form of credit.
The settlement is made in writing. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the assessment is 40. To receive an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the assessment cannot be less than 24 points. A student is not admitted to credit if he scored less than 36 points during the semester.
Evaluation organization:
Students are surveyed during classes throughout the semester
