Course content
The normative discipline "Astrophysics" is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists of the educational qualification level "Master of Physics and Astronomy". The course program is aimed at students who are already familiar with mathematical analysis, the basics of vector and tensor analysis, a general course in mechanics, electricity, optics, differential calculus. The subject of the educational discipline "Astrophysics" is the most general question of studying cosmic objects and phenomena by physical methods, creating a physical picture of the universe as a whole within the framework of known physical laws. On the basis of observations of individual objects and phenomena, using fundamental physical laws, the physical parameters of cosmic bodies, their chemical composition and evolution are established. Modern research methods allow not only to determine the composition, temperature, mass, density, luminosity, but also to establish the radial velocities of radiation sources, the mechanisms of their radiation, the velocities of internal movements in them, to estimate distances to them, to determine magnetic fields, etc.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching methods: lectures, consultations, practical classes.
Assessment methods and criteria
Control is carried out according to the modular rating system, which consists of 2 content modules. The knowledge assessment system includes current, module and semester knowledge control. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. Forms of current control: assessment of homework, written independent tasks, tests and control works completed by students. A student can receive a maximum of 20 points for homework, independent tasks, oral answers, tests, essays and additions. Modular control: 2 modular control works. A student can receive a maximum of 20 points for modular test papers. The final semester control is conducted in the form of an exam (60 points).
