Learning outcomes
students' mastery of methods of obtaining, experimental research and theoretical description of cosmological problems, in particular, the ability of students to apply knowledge in practical situations to calculate cosmological parameters. Also, the ability to learn and master modern knowledge from the course of cosmology, extragalactic astronomy, relativistic astrophysics and the theory of relativity, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, including electronic resources, and the ability of students to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis of material from all physical disciplines.
Form of study
Distance form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The presentation of the material is based on basic mathematical and physical courses, as well as courses in general and theoretical astrophysics, extragalactic astronomy. • Be able to apply previous knowledge from courses in mathematical analysis, mathematical physics, the basics of vector and tensor analysis, and differential equations to solve algebraic and differential equations and systems. • Have elementary skills in calculating derivatives, integrals, actions and operations with vectors and tensors, and graphically plot graphs of functions
Course content
The normative discipline "Cosmology" is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists of the educational and qualification level "Master of Physics". The course program is aimed at students who are already familiar with mathematical analysis, the basics of vector and tensor analysis, a general course of physics, differential calculus. The learning outcomes consist of knowledge of cosmological parameters and methods for determining them from astronomical observations. Teaching methods: lectures, consultations. Assessment methods: surveys during practical classes, tests after the main sections of the course, credit. The final grade is given on the basis of intermediate grades (40%) and an exam (60%).
