To master the basic methods of solving astronomical problems of various types, which are important for understanding the subject as a whole and for its practical use. To understand the relationship between the basic physical laws and the fundamental principles of astronomy. To know the principles of recording electromagnetic radiation, the main types of telescopes and radiation receivers, the basics of photometry and spectroscopy, methods of assessing the physical parameters of celestial objects from astronomical observations. To have modern ideas about the structure of the Universe: from the Solar System to the Metagalaxy, and to have an idea of the current state and achievements of astronomy as one of the main disciplines for the formation of a holistic worldview.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The presentation of the material is based on knowledge of physical laws studied in the courses of experimental and theoretical physics, mathematical courses: mathematical analysis, linear algebra and analytical geometry, differential equations, knowledge of the methods and principles of experimental research in general, as well as the course of spherical astronomy.
