Learning outcomes
PLO4. Understand the principles of economics, features of economic systems. PLO6. Use professional reasoning to convey information, ideas, problems and ways to solve them to specialists and non-specialists in the field of economic activity. PLO10. Analyze the functioning and development of economic entities, to determine the functional areas, to calculate the relevant indicators that characterize the effectiveness of their activities. PLO16. Be able to use data, provide arguments, critically evaluate logic and draw conclusions from scientific and analytical texts on economics. PLO28. Interpret and manage economic data, find information about the generation, structure and meaning of economic data, analyze data sources.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: the basic concepts and laws of modern economic theory, macro- and microeconomics. 2. Be able to: think analytically, apply knowledge to solve practical problems in order to make optimal management decisions in the field of economics and finance, prepare presentations in РР. 3. Have the skills of analysis, synthesis, processing and visualization of statistical data, work with the regulatory framework.
Course content
Discipline reveals the need and essence of finance, the laws of the financial system in modern conditions; economic essence and the need for social insurance; functioning of international finance and principles of organization of finances of economic entities. The budget system of Ukraine is considered, special attention is paid to public debt and debt policy of the state. The financial security of countries in the conditions of globalization is analyzed.
