Learning outcomes
P01. Collect, process and analyze information in the branches of the subject area of geographical sciences.
P04. Explain the peculiarities of the organization of geographical space.
P10. To analyze the composition and structure of natural and socio-economic geographical objects and systems included in the subject area of natural geography at different spatio-temporal levels.
P12. Know and apply theories, paradigms, concepts and principles in the fields of the subject area of geography according to specialization.
P13. Adhere to moral and ethical aspects of research, intellectual and academic integrity, professional code of conduct.
P15. Know and explain changes in the geographical envelope from the standpoint of the concept of sustainable development.
P16. To act in accordance with the principles of social responsibility and civic consciousness.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. successful mastering of the disciplines "Meteorology", "Topography", "Soil science", "Biogeography", "Geomorphology", "Cartography", "Basics of geoecology", "Basics of GIS", "Landscape science", "Historical landscape science", "Landscape ecology", "Landscape research methods" and others.
2. to determine the principles and factors of landscape differentiation of the earth's surface; systems of taxonomic units of regional and typological landscape complexes;
3. understand the consequences of anthropogenic influence on modern landscapes; peculiarities of the landscape approach in optimizing the interaction between nature and society;
4. be able to apply methods of landscape analysis of territories;
5. have the skills of landscape mapping and basic GIS tools.
Course content
The range of theoretical and applied principles of modern landscape planning and design is highlighted, especially those related to research into the aesthetic arrangement of the human habitat.
Features of the state, structure, dynamics and development of modern landscapes, which are reflected in their appearance, the influence of aesthetic properties and qualities of the environment on a person, the features of a person's perception of the environment in which he is, methods and techniques of aesthetic arrangement of the landscape, etc. are considered. The theoretical and methodological principles of making design and planning geographical decisions in the landscape in connection with its aesthetic appeal are analyzed
