Course content
The educational discipline "Landscape Ecology" is focused on the acquisition by students of the necessary methodical and methodological knowledge and
practical skills of applying methods and techniques of analysis of structures, changes, stability
landscapes from the perspective of the subject-object (ecological) approach. Discipline introduces
students with the main scientific and theoretical concepts of landscape ecology, assimilation
patterns of territorial organization of landscapes and processes forming vertical and
territorial structures of the landscape, its evolution and dynamic changes and resistance to
anthropogenic loads. The discipline is aimed at the formation of special professional,
social and personal competencies needed to explore landscapes from positions
ecological approach, obtaining and analyzing information about the properties of landscapes, their dynamic and
territorial features. The subject consists of two content modules.
