Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of such disciplines as "Geology", "Geomorphology", "Evolution of the Earth's biosphere", "Introduction to the profession", "Basics of geotourism"; 2) knowledge of formal principles of typification and classification of natural objects; 3) knowledge of geological and geomorphological maps of the World.
Course content
The educational discipline consists of two parts. The first one is dedicated to the review of the diversity of natural and touristic attractions of the World both in terms of genesis and forms of organization of their space; functioning of the World and European Network of Geoparks, as well as analysis of the place of natural attractions in the UNESCO World Heritage, which gives them the highest status of unique value. The second part aims at a comprehensive analysis of the naturalistic value of attractions - representatives of individual genetic categories. Knowledge of the discipline has an important worldview for future specialists who receive an education under this educational program, as it allows them to understand the reasons for the uneven distribution of natural attractions on a global scale and on the scale of individual continents, their different status and nature-tourism potential.
