P01. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of earth sciences. P07. Apply models, methods and data of physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc. when studying natural processes of formation and development of the pedosphere. P10. To analyze the composition and structure of the pedosphere on different spatial and temporal scales. P13. Be able to communicate the results of activities to a professional audience and the general public, make presentations and messages.

1. Successful mastery of the discipline "Introduction to university studies" 2. Be able to use various sources of information about society, analyze them and formulate conclusions, graphically display statistical information. 3. Possession of elementary skills of spatial development analysis.
Course content
It is proposed to reveal the features of the structure and development of the socio-geographical complex; concepts, methodology of social development management, analysis of social development of the territory, territorial organization of society. The object-subject field, conceptual and terminological apparatus of social geography, connections of social geography, stages of development of social geography in Ukraine and the world, factors of socio-spatial differentiation of society are revealed. Methodological principles of understanding the problems of social geography research, the concept of "region" as a social territorial system, forms of territorial organization of society. Regional social policy. Formation and development of city sociology. Spatial distribution of population in cities and social processes. Social and environmental problems of cities. Features of the social development of the village.
