Learning outcomes
P01. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of soil science, land management and territorial planning.
P04. Use information technologies, cartographic and geo-informational models for the needs of soil science, land resource management and territorial planning.
P07. Consciously apply models, methods and data of related disciplines (physics, chemistry, geology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc.) when studying natural processes of the formation and development of the pedosphere.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the key provisions of informatics, cartography and general geographic disciplines. 2. To be able to apply mathematical methods in geography. 3. Have the skills to work in an information and network environment.
Course content
Concepts of spatial analysis as the basis of modern geography and geo-informational data structures and their models are considered. Approaches to input, storage, selection, editing and output of geographically coordinated data, manipulation of these data and their spatial analysis are given.
