P01. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of earth sciences. P06. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the Earth as a planetary system and its geospheres, including the pedosphere. P08. Justify choices and use field and laboratory methods to analyze natural and anthropogenic systems and objects. P10. To analyze the composition and structure of the pedosphere on different spatial and temporal scales. P12. Know and apply theories, paradigms, concepts and principles in the Earth sciences, particularly in the field of soil science.

Distance form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the "General Hydrology" course. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general hydrology and general chemistry. 3. Possession of elementary hydrological concepts about water bodies, their hydrological regime, have skills in performing laboratory work in chemistry
Course content
This educational discipline is based on the paradigm of individuality and at the same time the interrelationship of the chemical composition of various types of natural waters that make up the Earth's hydrosphere: surface waters of land (rivers, lakes, reservoirs), underground and sea waters; on the study of the main groups of chemical components in water, which is investigated by hydrochemistry (main ions, dissolved gases, biogenic elements, organic substances, trace elements, radioactive elements, specific pollutants); chemical composition of various types of natural waters: atmospheric precipitation, river, lake, underground and sea waters; natural conditions for the formation of the chemical composition of waters - from minimal mineralization of atmospheric precipitation to the oil of mineral salt lakes; formation of the hydrochemical regime of water bodies, which is closely related to the hydrological regime; methods of research and generalization of hydrochemical information; assessment of water quality and measures to protect water bodies from pollution.
