Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the courses: "Oriental language: intermediate level", "Lexicology of the first Oriental language", "Theoretical grammar of the first Oriental language", "Basics of linguistics: synchrony", "Basics of linguistics: diachrony". Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, the foundations of the theory and terminology of morphology, morphemics, lexicology, and the history of the Korean language. Possession of the Korean language at an intermediate level, mastery of the skills of linguistic analysis of linguistic phenomena, mastery of linguistic terminology.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to improve the professional competences of an interpreter, practical development of theoretical knowledge. The course acquaints students with the views of modern Korean linguists on the morpheme structure of Korean words, with the classification of composites and derived words, systematizes theoretical information related to the peculiarities of Korean word-forming formants and derivational models in a synchronic aspect.
