PRN 25. To know the history of formation, development, main trends, currents, schools, genres and styles, prominent representatives of Korean literature of the XVIII-XIX centuries.

Full-time form

Knowledge of general and Korean literature terminology, the history of the development of Korean literature from ancient times to the kin. 17th century as a result of studying a complex of literary disciplines in the previous years of study.

The aim of the discipline is to provide students with basic knowledge of the history of Korean literature of the Late Joseon era (18th - 19th centuries). The course introduces students to the basic principles of Confucian ideology and their reflection in the literature of the Late Joseon era (eighteenth century - nineteenth century), typological characteristics of the main genres of poetry and prose of this period, their stylistic features and themes, the connection with the Chinese art system and Korean specificity, genetic links with Chinese genres, image system and ideological orientation.
