Learning outcomes
1.1.To know the nature, milestones and development trends of the globalization of the economy, economic systems; the mechanism of functioning of global and regional economic systems, their principles, methods and forms of organization. 1.2. Be able to determine the characteristics of the functioning of international markets in the conditions of globalization; analyze the effectiveness of economic solutions proposed by the government or international organizations, trying to achieve stability in the national economic system; to use the methods of organization and analysis of information to identify regularities in the functioning of the international economic system 1.3. Demonstrate a critical understanding of the economic prerequisites of monetary and financial crises in the 20th-21st centuries; ensure thoughtful decision-making based on purpose and features activities of international institutions

Course content
The program of the academic discipline consists of two content modules: Module 1. "Theoretical foundations of global studies", which examines the essence, structure, features and trends of the processes of globalization and regionalization of the economic system; Module 2. "The current state, problems and prospects of the global economy", which examines the features of the distribution of advantages and disadvantages of globalization, studies measures to counteract the negative consequences proposed by scientists and practitioners to solve the main problem - the uneven distribution of costs. The content of the discipline is revealed in the following topics: globalization in the system of concepts of the international economy; modern methodology of globalization; schools and the interdisciplinary status of global studies; civilizational dimensions of global economic processes; formation of the global economy; contradictions and dualism of the modern stage of globalization; paradoxical nature of global transformations; alterglobalism and its forms; forecast scenarios of global development; regulatory mechanisms of the global economy; international globalization strategies; forms and manifestations of economic regionalism.

Assessment methods and criteria
Control over the performance of independent work by students is carried out using electronic means. Students have to choose a topic for preparing a presentation for the task of independent work. The teacher evaluates the essay and presentation in the categories of "excellent" (the topic is discussed in depth, autonomously, with a sufficient number of references to literary sources and own thorough argumentation), "good" (the topic is sufficiently disclosed, but there are underdeveloped aspects), "satisfactory" (the topic is disclosed without proper reasoning, superficial), "unsatisfactory" (the topic is not disclosed). The teacher informs the student whether his essay and presentation have been accepted. If they are not accepted, the teacher indicates shortcomings and requirements for revision. - final evaluation in the form of an exam
