Р04. Use information technologies, cartographic and geoinformation models in the study of processes of relief formation and development. Р07. Apply models, methods of physics, chemistry, geology, ecology, mathematics, information technology, etc. in the study of processes of relief formation and development, individual objects and processes of the geosphere. P09. Analyze the composition and structure of natural- and sociospheres, which quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis. Р14. Demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research of natural and socio-geographical objects, systems and processes in the geographic envelope under field and laboratory conditions.

Full-time form

1) successful mastering of such general education disciplines as "Geology", "Geomorphology", "Topography", "Cartography"; 2) possession of elementary skills of topographic map analysis; 3) mastering the skills of elementary cartographic constructions.

The content of the discipline reveals theoretical and applied issues of morphometric relief analysis. Two parts are distinguished in the structure of the discipline. The first part is devoted to the study of the theoretical foundations of morphometric analysis, in particular, the definition of the goals of such research and the ways to achieve them. The second part of the course is aimed at consideration of various methods of measurement and calculation of morphometric indicators, methods of their interpretation and presentation of the obtained characteristics.
