Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student should know: 1. The history of the emergence and development of the main psychodiagnostic concepts in Ukraine and abroad. 2. Leading stages of creation of psychodiagnostic techniques. 3. Basic psychometric characteristics of tests (validity, reliability, etc.), stages of construction, adaptation of tests and standardization of tests. The student should be able to: 1. To construct methods belonging to the three main psychodiagnostic approaches (objective, subjective and projective). 2. Apply modern statistical methods for processing the results of psychodiagnostic studies. 3. Independently carry out standardization and adaptation of psychodiagnostic tests (including projective methods and intelligence tests). 4. Outline the research plan aimed at checking the effectiveness of psychodiagnostic techniques.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline - assimilation of knowledge regarding the development of psychodiagnostic methods, which belong to objective, subjective and projective approaches; study of the psychometric principles of test construction, following the statistical and linguistic algorithm; creation of own psychodiagnostic methods that meet the requirements of quality psychometric instruments. The course is dedicated to understanding and mastering the basic principles and features of test design. It reveals the main psychodiagnostic theories, principles and tools for the development of methods. The discipline is aimed at forming the practical competencies of the organization and conducting psychodiagnostic examination, with an emphasis on new trends that have appeared at the current stage of the development of science. In the process of learning, students have the opportunity to independently create their own psychodiagnostic toolkit and outline a research plan aimed at checking the effectiveness of psychodiagnostic techniques.

Lectures, seminars and practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment during the studying period: evaluation is carried out during the semester of all types of work. Additions and active participation in lectures are evaluated; the completed working project is presented at the seminar. The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 60. The final evaluation is conducted in the form of a test. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student is 40 points on a 100-point scale. Form of conducting - written.  Conditions for admission to the test. A student is not allowed to take the exam if he / she scored less than 36 points during the semester. He is admitted to the exam if he completes 50% of the work provided for in the plan.
