High school teaching internship lasts 6 weeks and takes place with a break from theoretical training. Students undergo internships in institutions of higher education that teach Swedish as a foreign language. At the first stage, students familiarize themselves with the department's documentation, which is used to ensure the educational process, attend teachers' classes, and learn to make plans for practical classes. At the second stage, students gain practical experience of teaching Swedish to undergraduate students. It is assumed that students attend at least 6 classes of the head of the internship and other teachers of the department, and also conduct at least 6 of their own classes, one of which is open. The assistant practice ends with the student holding an open class, to which the teachers of the department are invited.
