Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the basics of marketing, the basics of marketing in tourism, the economics of tourism, the functioning of tourist markets, and the classification of tourist resources.
2. To be able to collect and interpret information on business and logistical features of tourism and hospitality; apply the main terms, categories and classifications of business and logistics in relation to the functioning of tourism and hospitality; forecast prospects for the development of international tourist business and logistics in tourism and hospitality, taking into account the peculiarities of the development of the tourism industry in Ukraine in the context of globalization; 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding natural, political, economic events and phenomena and their impact on tourism in the world and in Ukraine
Course content
Academic discipline
dedicated to the study of the peculiarities of the international tourist business and
application of logistic approaches in tourism and hospitality. She illuminates
issues of international tourist business as a phenomenon of the modern world, theories
international tourism business, features of international tourism
market as a service market, economic functions of international tourism business,
component structure of international tourist business, regional
structure of international tourist business, international tourism
organizations, new forms of international tourist business in conditions
globalization, the sustainable nature of tourism business as a paradigm of modernity - peculiarities of the tourism and hospitality industry in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world
and in Ukraine; significance and features of logistics in tourism and hospitality, logistics
model of sustainable tourism, logistics of the tourism resource base, logistics
hospitality, incl. hotel and restaurant logistics, logistics
destinations, including urban and rural tourism, logistics of overtourism.

1. Oral presentation, additions and participation in discussions at seminars: 15/20 points
2. Self-study (synopsis of texts): 5/10 points
3. Self-study (business research in tourism and hospitality): 10/15 points
4. Self-study (logistics research in tourism and hospitality): 10/15 points
5. Final test in writing – 20/40 points
Final evaluation in the form of an exam: the final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester (60 points) taking into account the evaluation for the written exam (40 points)
