Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the basics of journalistic, publishing and editorial, production and advertising activities, the specifics of media production and media management. 2. Elementary skills of working with scientific, educational and methodological sources, as well as with specialised internet resources. 3. Skills with technologies for analysing the effectiveness of activities in the field of communications.
Course content
The purpose of the course is the formation of a system of theoretical and practical knowledge that would contribute to the effective management of media teams. The practical aspect of the course lies in acquiring skills in the use of team management tools in the media sphere in the aspect of building teamwork. The course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practical tools of team management in the media sphere aimed at forming a holistic concept of media management. It gives an opportunity to master the art of leading a media team, including the ability to develop a strategy of managing media personnel as a single team, taking into account social, collective and personal interests, to control the process of its implementation. Students receive basic knowledge about team formation technologies, team development and ensuring their effective functioning, ensuring team cohesion and favorable team creativity, managing remote teams of online and offline media projects, building business communications, using networking and facilitation in media management.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course is divided into 4 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, practical classes, independent work and module tests. The final form of assessment is a credit. Assessment of the progress of students’ knowledge is carried out in the form of a semester assessment (control tasks for individual work and module tests) and a final test, if the student did not receive the required number of points - 60. Completion of the tasks (practical, independent work, module test) is successful if it leads to earning at least 60% of the maximum score.
