Prerequisites and co-requisites
1.Know: theoretical foundations of professional courses of the 1st undergraduate year; the latest achievements in the field of journalism; rights and responsibilities of a journalist; the structure of the media, staffing, duties of full-time employees; thematic content of a media resource; ways of data collection and processing; principles of media content preparation. 2. Be able to: apply practical skills acquired during the 1st undergraduate year; find and analyse new information; create a product for media; work in a team; abide by the information and civil laws; adhere to professional and ethical standards.
Course content
Internship for the bachelor’s degree is the compulsory component of training in the specialty 061 "Journalism". During the internship, students learn to adapt their theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the needs of the production process, in particular, the analysis of the media and the preparation of media materials, external and internal communication in the journalism field. The purpose of the internship is to familiarise with the content and forms of work in a media and carry out the specific tasks foreseen by the programme. The internship is part of the Bachelor's Educational and Professional Programme.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The internship lasts seven weeks following the schedule of the educational process. The schedule of the internship and the assigned placements are published on the website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Journalism: http://labs.journ.univ.kiev.ua/praktyka/mahistram.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge monitoring follows a modular-rating system. During the semester, 100% of points are reserved for the independent work of students (max 80 points, min 48 points). For the final assessment in the form of differentiated credit, which includes an oral presentation of an internship summary or submission of a diary to Google Class, the student can earn a maximum of 20 points (min 12 points). The maximum score for the semester is 100 points.
