Learning outcomes
PLO 13, PLO 14. To know system programming languages and methods of developing programs that interact with computer system components, to know network technologies, computer network architectures, to have practical skills in the technology of computer network administration and their software. PLO 16. To understand the concept of information security, the principles of safe software design, to ensure the security of computer networks in conditions of incompleteness and uncertainty of source data.

To know: mathematics and informatics in the scope of the school course.
Be able to: work with calculation systems, perform operations in the algebra of Boolean functions
Possess elementary skills: working with a computer.
Course content
The subject of the discipline is: the architecture of RISC, CISC processors; command formats and operand addressing; implementation of machine arithmetic; the principles of building command pipelines, the operation of the system of interruptions and system trunks; implementation of virtual memory; data input/output abstractions; principles of interaction in modern communication channels; types of communication channels; computer system interaction protocols; stages of data exchange sessions; packet switching networks; computer networks as a single information resource.

Assessment methods and criteria
- semester assessment: 1. Control work 1: РН1.1, РН1.2 – 20 points/12 points. 2. Control work 2: PH1.3, PH1.4 – 20 p./12 p. 3. Laboratory work 1: PH2.1, PH2.2, PH3.1, PH4.1, PH4.2 - 20 points/12 points. 4. Laboratory work 2: PH2.3, PH3.1, PH4.1, PH4.2 - 20 points/12 points. 5. Laboratory work 3: PH2.3, PH3.1, PH4.1, PH4.2 – 20 points/12 points. The student has the right to rewrite the test paper once with the possibility of receiving no more than 80% of the points assigned for the paper. The term of rewriting is determined by the teacher.
The student has the right to submit laboratory works after the deadline set for them, but with a loss of 10% of points for each week that has passed since the deadline for its submission.
