Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know: the main concepts of domestic and foreign scientists on the phenomenon of giftedness; genetic and social factors that can influence the emergence and formation of giftedness; psychological features of a gifted personality; methods of diagnosis of gifted personality; methods of studying individual giftedness; peculiarities of upbringing and education of gifted children and adolescents. be able to: apply various empirical methods for diagnosing the potential, presence, type and level of development of personal giftedness; use practical skills in organizing practical work with gifted children; to create their own development programs for giftedness in children and adolescents. to have: to apply relevant provisions and theories aimed at the development of personal abilities.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to promote the formation of professionalism of future psychologists; to reveal the mechanisms of scientific analysis of the personal characteristics of a gifted person; promote the formation of students' professional skills for diagnosis and development of giftedness in children and adolescents. Abstract of the educational discipline - the discipline "Psychology of giftedness" is an integral part of the disciplines of the psychological-pedagogical cycle of the normative block. Its study involves solving a number of tasks of the fundamental professional training of highly qualified specialists, in particular: familiarization with the basic concepts of the psychology of creative abilities and giftedness, the history of development and the main directions of modern research, to contribute to the formation of skills and abilities necessary in the professional activities of practical psychologists.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral answers: 10 6 points 2. Analytical report: 10/6 points 3. Practical work: 20/12 points 4. Control work: 20/12 points The final assessment is carried out in the form of a credit. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work during the semester (the maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100). Students who have scored a total of less than 60 points during the semester, but more than the critical-calculated minimum of 40 points, pass the test. The credit is given in the form of a project defense, which is worth 20 points.
