Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Educational activities during the semester: oral answers, writing essays, performing language exercises and tasks, listening to texts, tests. Teaching methods: practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final grade for the course is formed as the sum of the points of the formative assessment. Forms of formative assessment include answers on the lessons (max 20/min 12 points), writing essays (max 5/min 3 points), performing language exercises and tasks (max 10/min 6 points), listening to texts (max 10/min 6 points), and writing tests (max 15/min 9 points). Summative assessment is arranged in the form of the exam. The exam scores max 40/min 24 points. To be admitted to the exam a student must score min 36 points. To receive a positive mark in the discipline, the mark for the exam must be at least 24 points.
