Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) basic skills in analytical, retrieval and research work; 2) fluency in Japanese and Ukrainian; 3) successful completion of disciplines OK.06 "Japanese for Professional Communication" and OK.07 "Modern Japanese Literature" according to the program "Oriental Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Japanese Language and Literature".
Course content
The discipline VB 2.04 "Culture and Art in Japan (in Japanese)" from the elective block "Japanese Studies" is taught in the third semester and consists of 4 credits, 120 hours (20 lectures, 20 seminars and 80 hours of independent work). The form of final control is an exam. The course is designed to improve students' knowledge of the development of Japanese culture and art in different historical periods and to develop the skills and competencies necessary to prepare research projects, publications and speeches on the relevant topic, as well as to conduct research activities in the field of Japanese studies. Lectures and seminars are conducted in Japanese with the use of original texts on traditional arts and popular culture, the development and peculiarities of Japanese culture in historical perspective.

Oral response, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars: 6 points - the student (S) has a full knowledge of the educational material, freely and reasonably presents it 5-4 points - S has a sufficient knowledge of the educational material, presents it freely, minor inaccuracies are allowed; 3 points - S has a general knowledge of the material, but does not demonstrate the depth of knowledge, has significant inaccuracies in the answer; 1-2 points - S does not fully master the material, fragmentarily and superficially presents it, does not sufficiently reveal the content of the questions posed, has significant errors Module control work: Test part - 10 points Open question - 5 points Project: 10 points - S has completed the assignment independently, efficiently and on time and prepared a presentation on the chosen topic. 9-6 points - S completed the task independently and on time, but made minor mistakes; 5-0 points - S has completed 50% or less of the task.
