PLO 2. Confidently know the state and foreign languages for the realization of written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present the results of research in the state and foreign languages. PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres in the field of Japanese philology. PLO 16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge of Japanese philology to solve complicated tasks and problems that require updating and integrating of knowledge, often under conditions of incomplete/insufficient information and conflicting requirements. PLO 20. Apply the acquired knowledge, formed skills and abilities of translation for oral and written translation of texts of different genres and styles from Japanese and English into Ukrainian and vice versa.

Full-time form

1) Fluency in the State and Japanese languages; 2) knowledge of theoretical foundations of translation studies; 3) successful mastering of the disciplines "Oriental language: advanced level", "Oriental language: functional level", "Translation practice", "Lexicology of the first Oriental language", etc.

As a component of the student's free choice in the block "Academic Japanese Language and Translation", the discipline VB 1.01 "Translation of negotiations and conferences (Japanese)" is taught in the third semester and consists of 3 credits, 90 hours (30 practical and 60 hours of independent work). The form of final control is an exam. The course is designed to develop the skills and abilities necessary for the successful implementation of consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during international negotiations and conferences with the participation of Japanese and Ukrainian parties, the ability to quickly solve translation problems, apply the latest information and telecommunication technologies in translation work, understand the strategies and algorithms of translation.
