Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student should know: the theoretical foundations of the structure of the psyche, factors and basic mechanisms of personality formation, the basics of neuroethics, behavioral genetics, neurological and psychiatric propedeutics, pharmacology and psychopharmacology, as well as methods of brain research.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form skills in the application of counseling techniques based on neuropsychological concepts; teach to distinguish promising neuroscientic concepts that are suitable for implementation in the practice of psychological counseling. The discipline is devoted to the consideration of neuropsychological concepts aimed at increasing the stability of the individual and maintaining mental health. In the process of studying the discipline, students master the means of psychoeducation and counseling, which are based on neuropsychological studies. The discipline consists of several main blocks: the use of neuropsychological concepts in the construction of the interview protocol; application of information obtained from the conclusions of specialists in related industries in the process of psychological counseling; development of neuroscience-supported recommendations aimed at increasing the stability of the individual and maintaining mental health.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, practical training, Individual work
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral reports, discussion, presentation, final control work. Semester assessment: answers and additions are evaluated at seminar classes. Evaluation of the written task on topics 1-4: RN1.1; RN1.2; RN2.1 – 10/6 points. Evaluation of the written task on topics 5-11: RN1.1; PH2.1; RN2.2 –10/6 points. Evaluation of participation in the discussion at seminars: RN1.1; RN1.2; RN1.3; PH2.1 – 20/12. Assessment of the quality of tasks at seminars: RN1.1; PH.2.1; PH2.2; PH2.3 – 20/12. The minimum score required for admission to the exam is 36 points, the maximum for the semester is 60 points. The form of control is an exam. The minimum score on the exam is 24, the maximum is 40 points.
