Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the theoretical foundations of the history of psychology, general and social psychology, psychology of personality. To be able to present a systematic view of scientific sources; to characterize modern directions of development of psychology connected with disciplines of a humanitarian cycle ("History", "Philosophy", "Culturology"). To have skills in research, retrieval, processing and analysis of information, to use of information and communication technologies.
Course content
This discipline should acquaint students with the history of the psychology of religion as a science, highlight its theoretical and practical aspects, reveal the psychological content of religious teachings and the structure of religious consciousness. The discipline is designed for two content modules. The first one is devoted to general theoretical issues of the psychology of religion: coverage of the stages of its development, analysis of the elements of the religious system, their psychological characteristics; determining the role of rites and rituals in the formation of sociotype, outlining the basic categories and methods of discipline, current issues. The second modue is devoted to the practical aspects of the psychology of religion: in particular, the identification of psychological features of world religions and psycho-practices in different traditions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral answers (speech at the seminar, participation in discussions and debates, additions), analytical report, creative independent work. Form of final control - credit. The test is based on the results of the student's work during the semester (the maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100) and does not provide additional assessment activities for successful students. Students who scored less than 60 points during the semester, but more than the critical minimum of 40 points, are credited. The test is conducted in the form of an oral survey on the subject of the course and the presentation of the working project, which is evaluated at 20 points. Students who scored a lower number of points during the semester than the critical-calculated minimum - 40 points are not allowed to take the test. Evaluation is carried out during the semester of all types of work. The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100. 0-59 - not credited, 60-100 - credit.
