            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            - to know: the basics of philosophy, physics, chemistry, biology and physiology of the human nervous system in the volume of general secondary education; fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of the human nervous system
- to be able to evaluate, analyze, summarize and adequately apply the scientific conceptual apparatus.
- to have basic skills of independent study, the ability to work out scientific literature sources; elementary skills of generalization and systematization of the processed material
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            Discipline "General psychology"
- refers to the list of mandatory;
- provides basic theoretical training in understanding the essence of mental processes and mental phenomena; forms an idea of their nature and properties, mechanisms and patterns;
- is aimed at studying the nature, essence, structure, functions, forms, levels of manifestation, patterns and mechanisms of functioning of mental processes: cognitive - sensations, perceptions, memory, imagination, thinking, speech; regulatory - attention, emotions, will; mental phenomena of consciousness, self-awareness, activity, knowledge and self-knowledge;
- consists of twelve substantive parts and is taught for three semesters: the first semester is devoted to the study of the processes of sensation and perception; the second - attention, memory, thinking and speech; the third - the mental processes of imagination, emotions, will and phenomena of consciousness, self-awareness, activity, cognition and self-knowledge.

            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            Assessment is carried out during the semester:
Oral answers (speech at the seminar, participation in discussions and debates, additions): 30/18 points. Presentations: 20/12 points. Final test: 10/6 points.
The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 60.
The final assessment is carried out in the form of an exam - 40/24 points. The form of conducting is written. Types of tasks - open questions; while the answer to questions 1 - 33%; answer to questions 2 - 33%, to question 3 - 34% of the total score for exam.
For a semester, a student can score up to 60 points during the semester and up to 40 points during the exam. The maximum score for a semester is 100.
Compliance scale of ratings: 0-59 - unsatisfactory; 60-74 - satisfactory; 75-89 - good; 90-100 - excellent.
