Learning outcomes
PLO 6. To use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized problems and problems of professional activity. PLO 14. To use Hindi and English in oral and written form, in various genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral) to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO 20. To demonstrate basic knowledge of translation theory, basic theoretical and practical problems of translation studies in the aspect of a specific pair of languages (Hindi and Ukrainian).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the disciplines: “Oriental language: advanced level”, “Introduction to Oriental Philology”, “Lingual Country Studies of the Oriental Languages”.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the types of audiovisual translation, the specifics of the translation of multimedia products; to develop students’ skills to select the correct contextual counterparts in the translation language and the original language, to apply appropriate translation techniques in order to create a high-quality translation product in the field of audiovisual translation. The discipline belongs to the block of disciplines of the student's free choice and has a practical direction.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline provides only practical classes, designed for active work of students in the classroom and aimed at further development of translation skills in oral and written translation of the mentioned types of texts. Completion of homework and translation exercises is mandatory. Control from the teacher's side is carried out by means of oral questioning and the organization of listening tasks, tests, translation exercises, modular control works.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semestral assessment is based on the oral responses, written assignments, translation exercises – 36/60 points, modular test papers – 12/20 points, final control paper – 12/20 points. The credit is given based on the results of the student’s work throughout the entire semester and does not require additional assessment measures. Students who scored 60 points, the required minimum, receive “passed”. Students who failed to score 60 points, the required minimum, receive “failed”. Those students who scored totally less than 60 points during the semester period should complete a test paper in the items which he/she failed to pass. Final score 60-100 – passed; 0-59 – failed.
