Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, arrange, classify and systematize it. PLO 7. To understand the main problems of Hindi philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PLO 9. To characterize the dialectal and social varieties of the Hindi language, describe the sociolinguistic situation. PLO 12. To analyze Hindi linguistic units, determine their interaction and characterize linguistic phenomena and processes that cause them. PLO 17. To collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them for solving complex problems in specialized fields of professional activity and/or education.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the specialized disciplines "Lingual country studies of the Oriental language", "Oriental language: intermediate level", "Lexicology of the first Oriental language", "Theoretical grammar of the first Oriental language", knowledge of linguistic terminology and laws of language development (from the course "Basics of Linguistics").
Course content
The purpose of the course is to give students an idea of the lexical and grammatical features of the medieval dialects of the Hindi language and their territorial variations. A systematic description of the lexical-grammatical structure of Hindustani that is a language formation that arose on the basis of the development and transformation of such medieval forms as Hinduvi, Dakhini, and Rekhta, and became one of the predominant forms in the Hindi-speaking area of modern Indiais, is also provided. The discipline belongs to the block of disciplines of the student's free choice and has a mainly practical orientation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline provides only practical classes, designed for active work of students in the classroom. Students' self-study involves doing homework. Control from the teacher’s side is carried out by means of their oral questioning and organization of written tasks, tests, modular test papers.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semestral assessment is based on: oral responses, written works, lexical dictations, and translation exercises – 24/40 points, modular control works – 12/20 points. Summarizing evaluation in the form of exam is max. 40 / min. 24 points (60% of minimum required quantity); the exam is conducted in written and oral forms, and proposes: 1) grammar task; 2) written translation of an unfamiliar text. Students who scored less than 36 points in total during the semester are not allowed to take the exam.
